9:45-10:00am Beats Noir!
Beats Noir! began as an experiment. As with all experiments, its conductors were unsure what to expect when they set out to combine J.T. Nolan's love of Americana and Rock n Roll with Paul Mullikin's background in Hip Hop and Jazz. Their collaboration led to an intriguing blend of electronic and acoustic sounds, of infectious beats and undeniable musicianship. The result is equal parts style and substance - big, bold, intelligent music that will make you move. |

11:00-11:15am The ReJuveniles
The members of the ReJuveniles grew up with a passion for the music of the 60s and while each has played a variety of music over the last 40 years of performing professionally, their hearts belong to 60s rock and roll. When you hear them perform those iconic songs of the Beatles, The Stones, Jefferson Airplane and The Who, or even the one-hit wonders of ? and The Mysterians or The McCoys, you can't help being transported back to a time when no two groups sounded alike and the music was helping to shape our culture. And for you baby-boomers, like The ReJuveniles themselves, it will make you feel young again for a little while, and understand why the band slogan is "The sixties aren't over 'til WE say they are!" |

The Rifters
The Rifters are Rod Taylor (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Don Richmond (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, pedal steel guitar, dobro, harmonica, vocals), and Jim Bradley (bass, vocals). Putting out more music than it seems should be right for three guys on stage, the Rifters employ a wide range of acoustic and electric instruments, combined with soaring three-part harmonies, to provide a mesmerizing variety of music from driving blue-grama-grass to ethereal desert beauty. Their years of playing to the dance crowds in their northern New Mexico homeland have given their music a toe-tapping rhythm that is engaging and undeniable. With a pedigree of bands like Hired Hands, the Rounders, and South by Southwest among them, the Rifters are truly a musical voice of their region of high desert vistas and mountain majesty. |
